Mom attended Cole School and later attended & graduated from Boise High School. She was active in several clubs and played basketball.
Mom was an inquisitive student with good grades. In her spare time she worked at the Cash Bazaar and Falk's ID. Mom met Dad (Glen) at a dance at the Riverside Ballroom. She was chaperoned by her grandmother and cousin who intended to keep a close eye on her. Dad convinced her to go flying the following day. In spite of scaring her when he put the plane in a stall, she knew that he was worth seeing again. They were engaged on Valentine's Day in 1947. After a two year engagement, they were married on June 19, 1949.
Their first home was an apartment behind Allumbaugh Dairy on Allumbaugh Road. There was no hot water so they had to heat water on the stove. Dad later put her in a "real house" on Sites Drive. In the early years of their marriage, mom worked as a secretary in the Job Service department for the State of Idaho.
Their first son (Randy) was born 5 years after their marriage, with another son (Rick) coming 2 years later, then a daughter (Linda) 5 years later. Mom was a super homemaker, following dad as our family was transferred from Boise to Denver to Atlanta and back to Boise in a span of 10 years. Each move brought her new opportunities as she settled into new neighborhoods, making friends and taking occasional jobs outside the home.
Mom was an exceptional cook, silently competing with her sister and mother. Over the years she canned thousands of jars of peaches, applesauce, and frozen corn. She was particularly known for her signature dishes; fried chicken, potato salad and all sorts of cakes.
Mom always looked forward to watching her children and grandchildren's sporting events. She rarely missed a game.. Dad, her children, and grandchildren were always at the center of her heart.
Mom and dad enjoyed many trips to Jackpot and made numerous lifelong friends there over the years. We joke that they had "dual citizenship!"

Mom is survived by her husband, Glen Weaver, her son, Randy Weaver(Stacey), Rick Weaver (Vicki), and daughter, Linda Wilson (Roger), grandchildren: Jason Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Justin Carlson, Ryan Weaver, Devin Weaver, Trista Widmann, Danielle Wilson, Kyal Wilson.

Graveside services will be held for family members on Friday afternoon, September 9th. An open house reception will follow from 5:00-7:00 pm for family and friends at Mom & Dad's home in Boise. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Idaho Food Bank.
